The RACI Matrix Tool is designed to help project teams clearly define and track who is Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed for each task. Its interface is divided into two parts:
01 Role Categories & Sub-Roles
Columns are grouped into categories like Sponsor / Leadership, Project Team, or Other Resources. Each sub-role column (e.g., L1, D1, M1) can be assigned RACI values.
02 Tasks & Groups
Rows represent tasks, neatly organized into groups such as Phase 1 or Phase 2.
03 Interactive RACI Cells
Where rows and columns intersect, you can click to assign R, A, C, or I. Each choice is displayed with a unique colored circle for instant clarity.
Assigning responsibilities in the matrix is straightforward:
Click a Cell
Find the intersection of a task row and a role column.
Choose a Value
Select R (Responsible), A (Accountable), C (Consulted), or I (Informed) from the menu.
Clear or Change Anytime
If you need to update responsibilities, just click again and select a new value or clear the cell.
Rows represent tasks or deliverables, while columns represent team members or roles.
You can shape the matrix to match your project’s structure:
Use the Add button to insert a new row (task) or column (role).
Remove When Needed
Hovering on the cell and press the Delete button to remove tasks or roles that are no longer required.
This makes it simple to adapt the matrix as your project evolves.
Linked directly to the matrix, this section provides full context about who is behind each role. You can document a member’s name, role, department, and contact information, and easily jump from a matrix cell to the corresponding team member entry.
Project Management: Add or remove roles by the add and remove button on the matrix cell, reorder tasks with drag-and-drop, and keep your project phases organized.
Details vs Matrix: By pressing the role on the matrix cell, the page will automatically jump to the corresponding rows on the Team Member Details
